Rob Pursey, Managing Director
Rob's first steps in the industry were with independent Friday Productions in 1991. He left to script edit The Bill for two and a half years. In June 1995 he joined Carlton Television to work on the development of in-house drama including, amongst others, Kavanagh QC, Inspector Morse and Cadfael. Rob was co-creator and executive producer of highly acclaimed series The Vice, starring Ken Stott, for ITV1. He also executive produced the two-parter The Hunt by Tony Marchant and both series of Big Bad World by Nick Martin. At Touchpaper he has exec-produced Ny-Lon, The Queen's Sister, Rocket Man, Julian Fellowes Investigates A Most Mysterious Murder, The Best Man, Last Rights, A Harlot's Progress and Singlehanded. He is executive producer of a new five part series for C4 history, City of Vice, starring Ian McDiarmid and Iain Glen.


Clare Alan, Development Producer
Clare worked for a number of years as an assistant director on television dramas before moving across to script editing where early credits included the Oscar-nominated feature film Solomon & Gaenor and a factual drama for C4, The Investigator. She then joined the BBC where she worked on Dangerfield and Silent Witness. Clare left the BBC to join The Vice team as script editor on three series. At Touchpaper she has produced the BBC1 series Julian Fellowes Investigates A Most Mysterious Murder and C4 film A Harlot’s Progress. She has recently produced a two-part drama, Single-Handedfor RTE and is now working on the next installment.

Kath Mattock, Development Producer
Kath Mattock joined Touchpaper TV after producing The Queen’s Sister for C4. With a strong background in theatre, Kath moved in to TV drama where she worked on the award winning BBC series The Cops, before producing C4’s acclaimed drama serial, Buried, for Tony Garnet’s World Productions. Kath is currently developing several series and serials for all the broadcasters and is slated to produce a film for C4 later this year.

Philip Trethowan, Development Producer
Philip was a graduate trainee in the Drama department at Carlton and whilst there developed a number of series, as well as script editing Big Bad World and story editing Crossroads. At Touchpaper, he has produced Last Rights for C4 and is currently producing an original six part series for ITV1 by Steve Coombes.


Poppy Stammers, Drama Assistant
Poppy was the researcher on the BBC series Julian Fellowes Investiages
A Most Mysterious Murder and is currently script editor on the new ITV1 series.
